The birth of Busy Bees Support

This, is the very reason I founded Busy Bees Support. Initially my dream was to build a thriving design business that supported me full time to live a life of freedom - financial freedom, location freedom and time freedom. Creating a business doing what I loved seemed like the perfect solution and offered me a way out of a career that really wasn’t aligned with my values. While it seemed like the perfect solution, I quickly found myself in a constant battle between getting the everyday behind the scenes tasks completed, doing the work to make my business grow (marketing, networking and so on), and delivering to my clients. Getting stuck in the ‘doing’ was holding me back and while I was doing something that I loved I found myself feeling frustrated and disillusioned because I was bogged down in trying to do too many things and not actually achieving anything. 

Lessons on Mindset & Systemisation

I realised that my approach to my business was really ad hoc, and we all know that lack of consistency means inconsistent results! That is exactly what I was getting, I had some success but not what I had envisioned for my business. I developed an interest in business systems and processes and this interest took me on a deep dive to learn more. I also started to realise the importance of stepping into the CEO mindset and as a business owner valuing my time. This is the point that I started to develop the concept of Busy Bees Support recognising the need for business owners to be able to outsource the tasks that consume their time and take them away from important aspects, such as working ON their business for strategic planning towards growth and also working within their business in their zone of genius. 

Outsourcing for Sanity

As I’ve being building Busy Bees Support I’ve also realised that many business owner get stuck in procrastination or lack of action because they simply have no interest in certain aspects of business building. Many business owner are amazing at what they do but they lack the knowledge and skills to get a lot of the foundational things done such as setting up marketing funnels, or building/updating their website. These things can certainly be learnt, however if it’s not something that you love to do you, why not outsource?

This is perfect for anything that has been acting as a bottleneck or that you have been putting off due to not having the time or knowledge to just get it done. This may be as simple as building a database of your leads to add to a mailing list, or updating your website to accomodate a new service or offer or even helping you to build a new marketing funnel, from design through to setting up your email nurture sequence.
