Not so long ago I was feeling - overwhelmed, working seven days a week, and constantly worrying about letting my clients down. As an Online Business Manager, I was drowning in deadlines and daily tasks, and in constant fear of failure. I loved what I was doing, but found myself burning out and losing the spark that drove me.
I had to get really honest with myself and take a good hard look at what I was doing (or not doing) and realised that my business had become my life and not necessarily in a good way! It had taken over my life. I knew that things had to change and I needed to develop better ways of doing things and I started experimenting with various time management and productivity techniques and looking at how I scheduled my work. I found what worked for me and worked on my mindset to release negative blocks with amazing results. I found I was completing tasks in a way that was faster and more effective, I had solid boundaries between work and 'play' time and started finding the fun in life again.
Now, I have clear and simple, systems and processes for getting things done, I schedule my day to leverage my most productive times, I rarely find myself stuck in the procrastination cycle and the work I do is strategically planned to move me towards my business goals without stress or overwhelm. Through this process I've realised that I can help others to achieve the same results using the knowledge I've gained, backed with the science of neurolinguistic programming (NLP).
